Stonehouse Romance at San Ysidro Ranch

Liz and Josh were married at San Ysidro Ranch in the wedding garden under a double arched chuppah filled with white garden roses covered by their family Tallis.

Their September wedding had been in the making for over a year, when tropical storm Kay decided to suddenly appear. Magnolia Event Design and the team at San Ysidro Ranch along with all the wedding vendors and couple worked to create an entirely new design plan that would still give the couple the wedding of their dreams. We quickly redesigned their reception to be held in Stonehouse and waited until the storm passed to set up their ceremony. We knew that there would be a break in the rain or it would shower and pass allowing our couple to be married in the garden. Having a seasoned team allowed us all to work quickly and efficiently and not having to compromise the overall garden vibe that the couple had hoped for all along.

Guests enjoyed tray passed appetizers of tuna tartar, whipped goat cheese fig crostini, avocado toast, coconut tiger prawns and buttermilk fried chicken while sipping on signature cocktails created by the SYR bartenders and listening to jazz music played by Ybarra Musicโ€™s trio. They walked the gardens, observed the turtles in the lily pond playing and sniffed the roses that were in full bloom.

Following dinner filled with lively and heartfelt toasts guests and the couple moved to the Carriage House to dance and enjoy a nightcap.
